Abstract

This essay discusses the historical development of Canadian industrial relations and compares Canada's system to the American and English. Originally written in 1972, it summarizes a number of the insights of Pentland's study for the 1968 Woods' Task Force on Industrial Relations. Cet essai analyse l'évolution des relations industrielles au Canada et établit des comparaisons avec les Etats-Unis et la Grande-Bretagne. Ecrit en 1972, il donne un bon aperçu des travaux de Pentland commis pour la Commission Woods sur les relations industrielles (1968).
